How does it occur

Rising damp occurs when moisture from the ground travels up through the tiny pores and capillaries in walls. As the water evaporates, dissolved salts crystallize, breaking down plaster and paint. Additionally, the accumulation of salts causes the wall to behave like a battery, with water molecules aligning toward the negative pole. This phenomenon intensifies moisture retention, further worsening the damp problem.
